Robert Langdon a world renowned
symbologist is summoned to a Swiss research faculty to analyze a symbol which
was seared into a murdered physicist’s chest. This journey along the streets of
Vatican City turns out to be a dangerous one where Langdon had to stand in the
verge of life. What he discovers is a timeworn organization, “The Illuminati”
and the threat from it to the Catholic Church. He and Vittoria Vetra a beautiful
but puzzling scientist, join hands to save the Vatican City from a dreadful
time bomb.
Talking about the book, this
book is the prequel written by the author to the world famous “The Da Vinci
Code”. A mixture of Science, History, thrill and mystery.
The main character, Robert
Langdon is a man to himself. These chain of incidents which he faces brings
many changes to his life. This phase shows him who he is and what he is capable
of. He turns out to be a brave person.
On the other hand, Vittoria
Vetra a beautiful, mysterious and a strong woman, helps Langdon throughout the
course. Though she had to face number of tragic incidents, het intention to
reveal the truth was strong. Which she succeeds in.
The book was slow moving at the
beginning. But, as you read you get into a place where you forget to wink. Your
hands automatically goes to your mouth or you clench your wrist! The scenes
were set in an amazing way where the reader starts living in it. The writing
pattern gives you that realistic feeling. To be honest, I couldn’t move until I
complete reading the book. I was bounded to it. The book kept me guessing and I
was in a hurry to read the next page. Must say that the short paragraphs made
it much easier. As the scene flows we were in the next page.
This book has been reviewed
negatively most of the time. But for me, Dan Brown has written the book
including so much knowledge in it. The book forced me to learn more about ‘The
Illuminati’, The Vatican City and ‘CERN’.

The best scene (for me) was,
the moment where Langdon and the Camerlango were in a helicopter with a bomb
raised to the sky and Langdon was abandoned. He risks his life in order to save
the Catholic Church. Later on we understand this is the moment where Langdon
realizes the whole truth.
Overall, the book was an
adventurous, amazing one with incidents which makes you forget the real world! I
loved it! This book was the reason to buy Dan Brown books every time I see one!
J This book will be a
good read for History, Science, thriller and mystery lovers.
